Shorewood Interact Club
The Shorewood Interact Club is a student-led community service organization at Shorewood High School in Shoreline, WA. Sponsored by the Shoreline Rotary Club, it focuses on leadership development and "Service Above Self" through local and international volunteer projects.
Club Details & Meetings
- Location: Shorewood High School, Room 1111 (as of the 2025-2026 school year list).
- Meeting Time: Typically held every other Friday during lunch.
- Advisor: The club is currently advised by staff member Cheney.
Core Activities
The club organizes at least two major projects annually—one serving the local community and one promoting international understanding. Recent and recurring activities include:
- Community Service: Writing holiday cards for local hospitals, participating in neighborhood cleanups, and volunteering at local events like the July 4th Picnic in the Park.
- Global Fundraising: Participating in the Carry5 Walk for Water to support clean water access and raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
- Rotary Collaboration: Members often join Shoreline Rotary for special events, such as client appreciation nights at the Kraken Community Iceplex.
