Club Meeting

August 7, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am

Speaker: Lauri Hennessey, Vice-President of Engagement – Woodland Park Zoo
Program: Life at the Zoo

Have you ever wished you could talk to the animals? Or maybe when you go to the Woodland Park Zoo, you wonder what goes on behind the scenes? Well, Lauri Hennessey, vice-president of engagement at the Zoo, may not be able to teach us the language of animals, but she can tell us some great stories about life at the Zoo. According to her biography on the Zoo’s website, “ Lauri’s greatest passion is helping nonprofits develop powerful storytelling and solid crisis communications. Active in fundraising, she currently serves on the boards of Treehouse, CulturePAC (fundraising for candidates that support arts and culture) and the Seattle Men’s and Women’s Choruses. (She) is on the development committees of Thrive Washington and Mary’s Place, and on the communications committee of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.” Wow – let’s welcome Lauri and hear what she has to say about one of the Northwest’s favorite places to go: The Woodland Park Zoo!
