Recognizing that one of the most important accomplishments we can make as human beings is to achieve peace, Rotary International has focused on building peace for many decades. In the last few years, RI has renewed its commitment to Peacebuilding and District 5030 is at the forefront as a Global Peacebuilder District. Jessica Bhuiyan, Chair for the District 5030 Peacebuilder Committee and Executive Director for the organization World Without Hate, is a leader in helping all of us work toward peace. She will offer an overview of what District 5030 is doing, and what other Peacebuilding clubs have been up to, as well as how World Without Hate is facilitating change: “World Without Hate provides a highly unique and extraordinary platform engaging diverse groups, organizations, and communities in respectful dialogue,…creating a deeper understanding of ourselves, and the perceived “other” through the transformative power of forgiveness, compassion, empathy, understanding, and acceptance.
